Sharon Baker

I discovered I'm much stronger than I realized. I'm much more powerful than I realized. In a sense I've feel like I've lived my life backwards in that I've become independent in my 70s. Now I feel as if I could do anything.

Sharon Baker was born in Toronto at the original Mount Sinai Hospital in 1948. While she might not have had all the answers to the mysteries of life, she was certain from a young age, she didn't want to have children, wear a wedding ring or change her name for a husband. After 50 years of happy marriage and a successful market research career, Sharon has been discovering herself anew. She is working on reinvention and learning to live an independent life.
