Angie Buado

Angie Buado was born in 1954 in Quezon, Philippines. Angie grew up in the provincial part of Quezon, the 9th of 10 siblings. Angie came to Canada in 1991 and worked as a caregiver until she became a permanent resident and a Canadian citizen. Angie is passionate about community work and loves to volunteer in the community. Angie’s philosophy on life is, "Give your best in whatever work or job you are doing."

Desree Bugayong is currently a grade 10 student who currently attends Archbishop Dennis O’Connor Catholic Highschool. With a passion for literature, in her free time, she likes to read and also is fond of grabbing a warm cup of coffee and writing stories. She also enjoys the great outdoors such as going on bike rides in the summer and spending time with her family during camping. Desree hopes to travel around the world one day to learn more about other cultures and languages.
