What I love (epitaph)
By: Carol Pask
I’d like to rest where I can still hear
the hummingbirds buzz,
the river flowing,
and torrential rains falling.
And if somehow my spirit breathes,
inhale the smell of pine,
hearing the sounds
of the wind
as it rustles the leaves,
and of deer
dancing along the shoreline.
