I’m 15 years old and a grade 10 student from Oakville Trafalgar High School. My favourite subjects include science, french, history, and music. I’m ambitious and creative and love to get involved. Outside of school, I play rep. hockey and I do a variety of volunteering work.

My name is Kusha, I am 17 years old and am working towards becoming an engineer. I love playing soccer, going outside and spending time with my friends.

My name is TL Sutherland. I am currently in grade 10 and have aspirations of attending UBC or Waterloo for software engineering sometime in the future. I use they/them pronouns and am also saving up to transition once I graduate high school. I play instruments inside and outside of school and way too many video games which often leads to me procrastinating. That aside, I hope you enjoy this short interview with Marie Slark.

Vishva Patel is a grade 12 student at John Polanyi Collegiate Institute and has settled successfully from his home country of India. His hobbies are swimming, playing badminton, and trading stocks. He aims to enter business school next year and continue his side career in aquatic diving. Vishva entered this project with a very positive attitude in the hunt to learn from our wise elders and make them feel valued.

Kai Zabitsky is a 17 year old student at JPCI who is driven by her passions, having fun and making a positive impact on the people and environment around her. She hopes to study mechanical engineering at university. Kai enjoys playing sports, robotics, and listens to rock music in her spare time. 

Kevin Hoang is a grade 12 student at John Polanyi Collegiate Institute. He is a proud second generation Canadian of Vietnamese descent. He is passionate about gardening and the esports industry. He hopes to gain a new perspective of life from the Post-Bellum project while also meeting new people.

Jullia Pham, born on February 3, 2004, is a creative student with a willingness to learn. She enjoys playing soccer, being outdoors and writing poetry. Jullia hopes to impact many lives with her artistic ability in the future.

My name is Celia Yang and I’m currently a grade nine student at St Joseph’s College School. My hobbies include reading, drawing, spending time with my family and taking walks in the sun. My favorite color is purple. I’m not usually comfortable talking to new people, but I really enjoyed this program and listening to the senior’s story!

Evelyn is 14 years old. Her hobbies are dance, field hockey and swimming. At this time, she is studying towards a career in the medical field.

My name is Mackenzie Falconer and I am 17 years old. I will be graduating high school in June 2022, and will be studying Professional Communications at Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson) starting in the fall.

Desree Bugayong is  a grade 10 student who attending Archbishop Dennis O’Connor Catholic Highschool. With a passion for literature, in her free time she likes to read and also is fond of grabbing a warm cup of coffee and writing stories. She also enjoys the great outdoors such as going on bike rides in the summer and spending time with her family during camping. Desree hopes to travel around the world one day to learn more about other cultures and languages.

Hi! I was born in China in 2006, and I am currently living in Canada. I enjoy playing the violin and drawing in my free time, and I am currently studying towards the medical field.

My name is Liao (Chris) Hu, a 15 year old Grade 9 high school student.

I love sports, debating and reading during my spare time, and I am interested in economics and philosophy.

Gleb Bobrakov was born in August 2004, in Veliky Novgorod, Russia. After immigrating here in 2010, he gained interest in the field of engineering and design, as well as athletics. His goal is to find success in entrepreneurship and ethical teaching practices revolving around well-being and happiness.

Cameron Wolfe is 18 years old and a student at John Polanyi CI in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He enjoys watching football and the UFC, playing rugby and learning about history.

Jett Major Thompson-Davidson, born January 26th 2004, is a young learner and student with many different passions. His interests include playing the saxophone, reading about history/geography, cycling, and photography. In the future, Jett hopes that he’ll be able to travel to many places and experience various different cultures around the world.
