Jan Batchelor was born on February 16, 1942 at Hotel Dieu, Windsor, Ontario. For seven generations, her immediate family has lived in Windsor. Jan worked as a teacher, something she had always wanted to be since she was a young girl. This was a dream job. At first, she was a primary school teacher, then she became a special education teacher. She is a kind woman with many great stories and thoughts about our world today

Jan Batchelor was born on February 16, 1942 at Hotel Dieu, St Catherines Ontario. She is a seventh generation Canadian and her family has all grown up in Windsor. She grew up in Windsor as well however, moved to Aurora at 16 due to her father’s job relocating. Jan was one of five children. She has three brothers and one sister. She is the second oldest sibling.
After she graduated highschool, she took summer school at McMaster university and met her husband Ron there. They got married and had two children. One son, David and one daughter, Casey.
Jan worked as a teacher. She had always wanted to be a teacher since she was a young girl so this was a dream job. At first, she was a primary school teacher, then moved to be a special education teacher.
